Takashi Maekawa’s journey through Japan
Japanese skater Takashi Maekawa is in the middle of a journey through all of Japan, using his skateboard as his only mode of transportation (for the most part). It is estimated that this trip will take about six months to complete.
Here he is, on the eve of his journey, bidding his friends farewell. This was filmed July 9th, 2010.
And here is the journal of his journey so far:
So far, that’s just the first three weeks.

BIG K.R.I.T – Hometown Hero
I love this track. It isn’t long, doesn’t have the most amazing lyrics, but dude’s flow, voice and beat is catchy. Plus, Krit made the beat himself. He doesn’t mind digging in the crates, and using samples, either. He’s from Meridian, Mississippi, and just recently (as in, “last week”) got signed to Def Jam. He dropped his recent mixtape, “Krit Wuz Here” a month or so ago. I would like to know what’s up with the artwork on that mixtape. For a southern rapper, it looks like the last thing I’d ever see as far as artwork goes.

Truth Universal – Serve And Protect
“people hate police all over the planet”
I first met Truth when he was hosting a DJ battle at the Howlin’ Wolf in New Orleans back in 2003.
He still does shows and puts it down for New Orleans to this current day. A really cool dude.
